15 reviews 4 days agoI have been with this breakdown company for the last 4 years. The price is very competitive, even with no excess, and the cover is really good. You can add extras like key cover, European cover etc. I've only had to use their services once, but it was very easy to call them and arrange the rescue. The staff are really helpful and friendly. I'd highly recommend this breakdown company.

There is nothing difficult or complicated taking out a breakdown policy with them. A major breakdown company quoted me £96 to cover my motorcycle which only covers a small mileage per year and only in the summer these days. Rescuemycar.com offered me full coverage for just £21.00; a very big difference.

Read 1 more review about Rescuemycar.com 9 hours agoWhile on holiday in the north of Scotland we encountered a pothole which caused a tyre to blowout. This was on a Sunday afternoon, in a remote area (Dunbeath, near Wick).
We called Rescue My Car who advised that as the problem was tyre related I had to source a tyre and they would then recover us a maximum of 10 miles…we were remote, with my elderly, disabled mother-in-law in the car and we were effectively stranded. The agent o spoke to at RMC just refereed to the small print.

2 days agoRather a long wait on the telephone but the guy was very helpful once I got to speak to him. Very obliging and met my request to speak a little slower due to my hearing impairment. Would definitely use them again.

Every year though, renewal price is horrendous, have to cancel and start new, no loyalty from them to existing customers.
I just swapped my car online, did it all myself and got charged an additional premium plus an admin fee, FOR DOING IT ALL MYSELF. RMC did nothing.

22 reviews 6 days agoThe reason it is only 4 stars instead of 5 is that when I went online to buy breakdown cover with Rescue my Car I took out the policy with an excess. I did not receive any emails or messages to say I was now a customer but changed my mind the following day and decided to have a policy with no excess. I rang up only to wait half an hour before anyone answered. The man who answered was very polite and said I should have receive an email within a few minutes after taking out the policy. I discussed with him what I wanted to do and he agreed to waive the admin fee of £5 for the amendment because it was not active yet, so now all sorted. If I had received a confirmation email and not had to wait 30 minutes for my call to be answered, I would have given 5 stars.

3 days agoThe process of purchasing the european breakdown cover was good with emails and documents sent immediately after purchase. I didn't use the service though because my car didn't breakdown so I can't comment on the process of recovering the car.

I have maybe called them out twice in 20 years, but the call centre staff are great, I have never waited over 40 minutes, they only use reputable recovery agents that are based close to your breakdown area, they are straight forward and 100% no scam company, all my friends and family use them. My dad was the hardest nut to crack, he was with the probably biggest breakdown company, the name has 2 letters begging with A. He has been paying hundreds of pounds a year and was convinced they were best as the staff told him so, price increase every year, no loyalty discount, broke down once and he was waiting over 2hrs as A@ said they were busy, Dad eventually caved in and took out a policy with Rescuemycar.com his policy was just over £18 as his car is only 4 years old with full cover, including homestart a saving of over £250. He has never looked back. We all renew each year. Nowadays is hard to find a company with great customer service. Join these guys, you won't be dissapointed. They do so many different levels to cover all situations and budgets, remember when you breakdown, you are vulnerable and need help, this company is not selling you a breakdown insurance policy, it's a breakdown company. Be careful of this. YES there are other company's that are on many comparison sites but they are not selling breakdown cover, they are selling you a breakdown insurance policy, there is a big difference. Use RESCUEMYCAR.COM.
